On The Road Summer 08...
On The Road from Vancouver, Canada to Los Angeles, CA... seeing lots of tall and old trees, the Celebration of Light with thousand teenagers, the wild Pacific Coast in all its shapes, making a wild fire and jumping on dunes, beautiful sunsets every day, great old motels, delicious Espresso in Oregon, freezing in San Francisco, hot Yosemite, finally the great city of El Ay... To Loose Oneself
Boy and Girl, loosing themselves into the Night
I woke up as the sun was reddening; and that was the one distinct time in my life, the strangest moment of all, that I didn't know who I was... i wasn't scared, i was just somebody else, some stranger, and my whole life was a haunted life, the life of a ghost...Willenlos, exhausted, nicht wissen wohin, ruhelos, müde und aufgeregt zugleich, late night and early morning mood, raw, aufgelöst sein, transzendieren

Dedicated To The Plain People
Felicity can be,
Spending the afternoon in a park,
creating pictures with Jackson,
who likes to catch the special mood from the plain people.
The huge smelly dog,
who welcomed us taking a shit in the middle of the lawn.
Its name was Dante.
The blond haired girl,
making noises like a mouse while nibbling her popcorn.
The guy with his shirt with the word Gerüstbau written on it.
He just came from work, a Gerüstebauer.
Aishe, sitting on a bench and doing huge bubbles with her chewing gum.
And the tree climbing girl,
like a monkey she went up and down.
I forgot my mask in the tree.
Somebody else, maybe a little kid,
frightens now her parents with a strange mask.
I got sad news,
my grandmother died yesterday morning.
Just before I had this beautiful afternoon shooting with Jackson,
who likes to witness the plain people mood,
which means happiness.

First Anniversary
It's time to celebrate!
One year ago I did my first Polaroid photos. It was at the Fusion, a great alternative festival near Berlin. Of course I had taken pictures before, like everybody, but the trashy and likewise beautiful plastic polaroid camera changed things...
...For me, making pictures is similar to doing music in my teenage life, where I tried to release my Angst and transform the aggressiveness... - "look your demons right into the eyes" (thanks Bonnie Prince Billy).
...I love to get inspired in totally different moods, and the best ideas might come in when I'm lost. Or being in an hang over, when the mind and body is so exhausted that it has no control and will (willenlos) and everything is just going going going without the borders boundaries barriers, without the moral judgment one constantly keeps in his mind.
...I've been creating pictures which were described as soft and touching, and going back in time. I would also like to create pictures who open you for gloomy moments, as happiness isn't everything (remember the demons).
I saw a new road to love the world I'm living in, and this road is still a dirt road but hopefully has no dead end... I'm high-spirited and keen on to drive this dusty road...

Please introduce yourself in an email (you'll find mine on my website) with a few lines about yourself and include your stats and attach recent photos. Please be prepared to sign a model release.
I'm currently planning my summer projects - including driving around, swimming in a lake, hanging out at night... basically being outdoor, preferable in nature. I'd like to produce a certain madness; I want to loose us in the heat of the day as well as catch the twirled and overtired mood of the late night. Remember, we will have fun!

"Stories"
I'm asking myself... should I tell stories or shouldn't I? I kind of like the idea to show pictures without posting big words, you know, show the pictures and everybody can look at them with his own stories, ideas, dreams, thoughts, fantasies...
But what about telling stories in between? Little things like this:
Today I had come over another boy for my new series" boys boys boys!". He came in, and after a short amount of time I had a good feeling about everything and also about him being relaxed. As we started the shooting I began to look for my picture, and I searched for a while. The light.,.. the pose... and so on.But what about telling stories in between? Little things like this:
I know from posing myself that this search can feel quite strange to you as the posing model. Whatever, me being now behind the camera I'm all about for the search.
And then, all of the sudden I remembered my model having still his chewing gum (you can't chew a gum in front of a camera...) so I asked him to take it out. And I got the answer "I swallowed it, accidentally." I was like... no way... come on... but he really swallowed it!
I guess my model was just a bit nervous as I was... Swallowing a chewing gum accidentally... After one second I was back on my search for the great picture.
And then, all of the sudden I remembered my model having still his chewing gum (you can't chew a gum in front of a camera...) so I asked him to take it out. And I got the answer "I swallowed it, accidentally." I was like... no way... come on... but he really swallowed it!

I will be in Tel Aviv for a personal project from this Wendesday on. I'm also planning to visit the Negev desert and Jerusalem for a day.

Are you looking for a new experience? Ever wanted to pose (half) naked in front of a nice polaroid camera (and behind that a girl)? Maybe you want to have nice pictures of yourself - for yourself or for your Love. This might be your chance:) I'm looking for new and fresh people to shoot. You should be at least 18, max 30, young, good-looking (though not necessary model-like). You should have a nice body and be fun to shoot with and be open-minded as I want to have the option to shoot you topless or naked. Be prepared to sign a model release. Oh, and you should live in Berlin (or nearby or maybe you are visiting Berlin...) I'm mainly looking for boys, but couples are very welcome too. In other news, I will do new polaroids very soon and today I worked on the tranformation from our apartment into a cool studio... I got rid of the woodchip wallpaper. I'm all excited:) - gegen die Verrauhfaserierung!
